BIOGRAPHY

Matty is an independent artist & producer from Central West NSW, specialising in entertainment and education. From physical theatre and circus education to interdisciplinary performance and immersive theatre installations, Matty has over a decade of experience in backstage and main stages of the arts and entertainment industry.

Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Communication (Theatre/Media) from CSU Bathurst in 2014, Matty began coordinating an after school circus program at the local PCYC. Each year he taught over 60 children and adults the fundamentals of circus for fun, fitness, and performance.

In December 2017, Matty co-founded Junkyard Circus to provide artist representation and produce regular work with emerging and established artists in the region. This included continuing his work as an educator and presenting workshops and masterclasses in juggling and acrobatic balances.

In April 2019, Matty relocated to Melbourne, Victoria for professional development as a circus coach and artist as well as the pursuit of further research into the convergence of game theory and education theory.
